VS TP example regularity feature tree construction for the method published in “Constructing Regularity Feature Trees for Solid Models”.

The regularity feature tree decomposition for the VS Training part is shown below. On the first decomposition level 21 edge-connected solids are produced, three of which are (a), (d) and (g). The simple edge-connected solids which where not further decomposed are shown in (j). Sub-part (a) leads to four negative regularity features and one positive regularity feature at the next level in the tree as shown in (b). These further yield two regularity features as shown in (c). Sub-part (d) leads to four negative regularity features at the next level in the tree as shown in (e), and results in an updated model shown in (f). Sub-part (g) leads to 3 negative regularity features at the next level in the tree as shown in (h), and results in the updated model (i). Some of the results regularity features are further decomposed but are not shown here due to its straight-forward nature of these cases.
